Create’v VOYCE Meetings for 2010
Create’v VOYCE meetings have now moved to the 2nd Saturday of the month and will be permanently located at the Office of the Commisioner for Children and Youth.
All meetings start at 9:45am.
Dates: Feb 13th, March 13th, April 10th, May 8th , June 12th, July 10th, August 7th, Sept 11th, Oct 9th, Nov 13th, Dec 11th.

Ida Curtois Acheiver Awards

Young people in care deserve access to every opportunity in life…
The annual Ida Curtois Achiever Awards aim to provide financial assistance and encouragement to young people aged 16 to 25 years who have been in the Department’s care and are persevering with their further education.
If you know a young person who has been in the Department’s care and is currently enrolled in the first year of a degree, diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, traineeship or course at an approved institution, they may be eligible for an award.
Award recipients receive funding to assist with further study and/or training in two amounts – the first half is presented at the award presentation ceremony and the second half after the successful completion of the first semester or term of education. Proof of further enrolment is required by the Department in order to process the second payment

Channel 7 Crab Fest

The Channel 7 Crab Fest 2009 will be held Saturday 7th March (10:00am-9:00pm) and Sunday 8th March (10:00am-5:00pm) 2009.
Jump on the bus or train and come and visit the Peel region during the mosty exciting time of the year.
On offer will be a fantastic array of entertainment, unusual and spectacular roving entertainment displays, extraordinary food and wine, food tasting areas, cooking displays, a dedicated stage an activity area for the kids, multi-cultural and Aboriginal displays, Channel 7 personalities, a street parade, fashion parades, a ski show, water carnival, bike trails and a extravagant fireworks display.

Professional artists, local groups, schools and the wider community contribute to the festival’s program with many events taking place outdoors on the Eastern Foreshore and in Mandjar Square as well as at a range of indoor venues including the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.
Bring your blanket and head to Mandjar Square (adjacent to the Mandurah Performing arts Centre), and soak up the sound, colour and vibe of live music and entertainment over the festival weekend.
